Alicia and Kalinda Relationship in Season 4

Robert King, co-creator and executive producer of 'The Good Wife' has given some information about where the relationship between Alicia and Kalinda will be on Season 4.

"The Good Wife" has many fan-favorite relationships, but there are two that seem to ignite much more passion in fans: Alicia and Kalinda and Kalinda and Lana.

Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) spent the majority of Season 3 in a frosty place. After Alicia found out her husband cheated on her with Kalinda -- before Alicia and Kalinda were friends -- at the end of Season 2, she kicked Peter (Chris Noth) out and cut off her friendship with Kalinda. The friendship began to thaw, and after Alicia started helping Kalinda with her IRS problems, it looked like the duo were on their way back to being dynamic. Now, Robert King, "The Good Wife" co-creator and executive producer, confirmed the duo are close once again.

"Best friends, but also it's very complicated by the fact that Kalinda has promised to be honest and yet she's in this very thick of a situation that would discourage honesty," Robert told AfterEllen.com when asked if Alicia and Kalinda were friends again. "It's a very difficult challenge for her as to how honest to be."

Kalinda won't be Alicia's only friend this season. Amanda Peet will play a military lawyer who hires Alicia after she sues a contract worker for an attempted sexual assault and the two quickly bond. Other Season 4 guest stars include Nathan Lane, Kristin Chenoweth, Maura Tierney and Marc Webb as Kalinda's estranged husband. Robert told AfterEllen.com Jill Flint, who plays Kalinda's on-again, off-again FBI agent love interest Lana, will be in at least three episodes of Season 4.
How does Season 4 begin?

"Where Season 3 ended," "Good Wife" co-creator and executive producer Michelle King said. "It's a big cliffhanger, vis-à-vis Kalinda, there's a knock at the door and we'll see who walks in."

Christine Baranski, who plays Diane Lockhart, boss to Alicia and Kalinda, revealed Season 4 kicks off with Lockhart/Gardner in turmoil. "[Season 4] picks up at a very dramatic moment for all the characters," Baranski said. "The firm is definitely in crisis."
